As car enthusiasts, we all remember the first car we wanted, usually as an member of adolescence. Whether it was that time you rode along with your parents and spotted that sleek Lamborghini, or a friend’s brother’s ride that just dropped your jaw, we all remember that initial love affair. Personally, mines was the Nissan 350Z. In the 8th grade, something about the smooth lines, aggressive front end, and that curvaceous rear that I can only relate to as “bootylicious badonkadonk” drew me to the car. After I began my car journey, the Z line kind of disappeared from my thoughts and didn’t really interest me until I saw what Patrick Kozyra did with his aggressive 370Z.

Patrick’s journey to this 370Z is a special one. In 2007, he had originally had a 350Z which he then sold to acquire the Nismo version. This is where many of us would have stopped and been content. However, Patrick, did not. After an ad on Craigslist, less than 20 days later, and new found knowledge that love can happen at first sight, Patrick was hooked – and the new owner of this 370Z.
Although the rear of the 370Z isn’t as smooth as its predecessor, Patrick added his own touch to both ends of the car. Gracing the front and back of this beauty are the Carbon Fiber Amuse bumpers. I feel they tighten up the look of the car and add that extra splash of aggressiveness that Nissan intended when they revamped the 350Z into this sleek creation. It almost looks as if squats came into the equation with the rear and some dental work got rid of the stock bumper, teeth and all.
One thing I feel that is commonly overlooked would have to be the headlights with their color matched shrouds. They say, “Perfection lies in the details.” Patrick took great care and time into looking for perfection. One of the most challenging things about this car would have to be the way his air management system was set up. Initially, a shop had installed it, however, it was not to his standards, so he and a buddy spent time ripping out the old configuration and reset it to his liking. As they say, “If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself.”
Once the modding began, Patrick knew which wheels he wanted. He was aiming to be unique and different with his build so he decided to run with Gram Lights 57s Pro’s. One of the most memorable and nicest things about this car would have to be the neochrome against the blue and silver of the car and wheels respectively. I hope you can see why both Patrick and I, regard the wheels as our most favorite thing about this car.
Patrick says he still has more in store for us regarding the build of this car. We can look forward to some Recaros for the interior of this car, but I am more anticipatory of the new aero components and a more aggressive wheel set up he has in store for this car. Also, he would like to give a shout out to Source Total Performance in Morton Grove hooking it up with parts, Royal Flush Crew out in California for allowing him to become part of their family, and last but not least, a big shout out to his family, for their help and insights. I would like to give a shout out to Jay Baumgardner for these StanceNation exclusive photos, and to Patrick Kozyra for bringing this Z into this world.
