Every car has it’s story. Whether its a Lamborghini Countach with its glory and established history, or your mom’s 1996 Toyota Corolla, every car has a background and rich history with its respective owners. Whether it was a garaged beauty queen that was taken out only on the weekends, or a college student’s pizza delivery car, it was completely unique and mirrored that single person. This goes exactly for Andrew Linga’s Nissan 370z.
The acquisition behind this car would have made any car enthusiast squeamish. Andrew initially found the car through an online trader. After a few back-and-forth negotiations, a price and location were agreed upon. However, Andrew, was deployed, at the time, in the Middle East. This presented a problem as the car was in Reno, NV. and it had to be Los Angeles, CA. Andrew then bought two 1-way tickets and had his two brothers fly out to bring her home. Sweating on the phone, nervously checking every 15 minutes, Andrew waited. After a perilous dance through canyons under heavy snowy weather, his brothers and his prized 370z were safe.
With the Z safely tucked away at home, Andrew finished the rest of his tour. As he contemplated modifications, he redeployed for another stint in the Middle East. From there, he contacted the distributors of the beautiful Amuse kit that graces the front, rear and sides of the car, to have a set shipped home. To complete the rear fascia, Andrew opted for the Mines Rear Spoiler Add-on, a tasteful option.
Reasonably lowered on Stance GR+ coilovers, this Z is rocking Volk Racing TE37 Super Laps wrapped in Falken Azenis FK453’s. Andrew prides himself on finding the balance between form and function, and to him, this is the perfect Z of his dreams. To further his love of the function side of auto modifications, he plans on adding a lot more suspension parts such as upgraded sway bars and a new differential to already compliment the power performance modifications. Keep your eyes peeled for this rare Chicane Yellow monster as it fly’s past you on California’s tracks, something Andrew is sure to hit, as Hawaii is currently lacking.
Regarding the power modifications, Andrew’s car was the test car for developing the GTM Motorsports Stage 2 Supercharger Kit. Based of the Rotrex superchargers, the C38-91 blower pushes the car to a nice 461.5 whp and 335lb-ft of torque at 8psi all at DSPORT’s own Dynojet. A GTM Custom Mapped Engine Management Tune helps manage the powerful addition.
Moving onto the interior, Andrew opted for a Bride Zeta 3 racing seat to keep him safely situated wherever the wild Z can take him. A NRG hub/quick release combo mates the Personal Neo Grinta 330mm Steering Wheel allowing Andrew to maintain control of the Z, while a variety of PLM Gauges relay critical information.
As a Los Angeles native, I would like to say that its nice to see the car scene out here represented and its great to see a car such as Andrew’s Supercharged Amuse 370z in the pages of StanceNation.com. Keep it up Andrew, thank you for your service, but also, thank you for building such a magnificent Z.
