A night before H2o, our photographer Ronaldo met up with a bunch of friends to hang out and shoot some pictures. A couple cars that stood out were Andy’s and Jason’s GTI’s. Jason’s Gray GTI is the one that’s bagged, and sitting on the crazy set of Rotiform ROC’s, and Andy’s is the Silver one sitting static on coilovers with a clean set of BBS RS’s. Two very different cars, separated by thousands of miles (New York & Ohio), but every year they meet up in Ocean City, Maryland for the huge H2o Event.

Here is a thing or two you should know about this car. No time was wasted, the car was completely gutted to a shell, and built back up including all new paint! The crazy thing is that it was bought brand spanking new earlier this year. Jason tells us that that he wanted to create something as meticulous as it was insane, and still have it be subtle enough to remain classy. Jason also wanted to make sure that when he let the air out he wasn’t only sitting on top of his wheels while the tires were completely tucked away, he also wanted to lay frame. With full frame notch, and the help of Airlift XL’s, he is able to lay the car frame on the ground completely every single time. We’re willing to bet that plenty of sleepless nights were spent building this thing, but it looks to us that it was all worth it, as you can see. We’re so glad Ronaldo was able to shoot this work of art, it’s incredible.

If you’re a VW guy, you’ll notice that little things such as the front bumper was fully shaved, as well as the side moldings. All of the fenders were also pulled and shaved with bodyline fade-out. No tacky work here, everything is done precisely. Jason wants to give a big shout out to everyone that helped him build his car including Driven Creations (amazing bodywork), Stratmosphere, The Luft Shop, and Tuna Crew.
Andy’s Silver GTI is no joke either. Both low and wide GTi’s, but modded in a different way. Unlike Jason, Andy is running FK Silverline coilovers, bottomed out all around. Not as aggressive of a fitment as some of the VW guys are running now a days, but there is no doubt that the car is sitting right, and as we always say, you can never go wrong with BBS’s. Adding some color to them really made them pop even more!

205/45’s Falken all around

Up front you’ll notice the OEM Euro Lip, and in the rear Andy chose to do the infamous “wiper delete mod”, which is such a simple mod, but does so much for the car. He also spent some more time under the hood where he is running things like the carbonio intake, a 3inch apr downpipe, as well as stage 2 apr. These are two seriously clean VW GTI’s, and we’re honored and thankful to owners for letting us share them with everyone. If you’re anywhere near Philly and you think your fitment is on point, make sure you hit Ronaldo up for a proper shoot! Check out his flickr page!
