More and more awesome Canadian rides have been showing up online, especially from Toronto, CA. Not too long ago we featured a nicely fitted Mugen TSX from the Toronto area, and now we bring you this absolutely gorgeous Honda Civic. Not only did it start off as your basic Honda Civic CX, it’s been owned by the same owner for over a decade now! Stephen has been saving up his money ever since he was a little kid, and as soon as he got his license, he purchased this Honda Civic CX. At the time, there really weren’t very many Civics that he liked, but there were enough for him to start putting his personal touches on it. Fast forward thirteen long years, and this is where the car sits.

If you’re unfamiliar with Civic’s you’re probably asking yourself why that front end doesn’t look anything like a Civic. It’s basically a Acura EL front end, which is only sold in Canada and it just happens to be an almost simple swap. With a little touches here and there, and a fresh coat of custom gold paint, the car was out the shop and on the streets. It’s currently sitting on a set of CCW Classics and while it’s not the most aggressive setup on a Civic we see now a days, the 16x.8.5 weren’t really a simple bolt on. Stephen had to camber them a bit more, and run a 205/40 tire to clear the fenders.

Sitting Right:
16×8.5 CCW Classic +12 ET
205/40-16 Falken ST615
Project KICS R40 Neo-chrome lug nuts
Koni adjustable coilovers
ITR front anti-roll bar
ITR rear anti-roll bar
Ingalls camber kit

Up front he is sporting a JDM Civic SiR front lip that was modified for the Acura EL bumper, as well as JDM Civic SiR sideskirts. Antenna and Wiper Arm have been deleted to give it that clean look, while out in the back Stephen upgraded to a 00 Civic Hatch taillights, and slapped on a CTR style rear spoiler & lip. It’s a simple look really, but a ton of attention to detail, and that’s one of the things that makes this Civic stand out from the rest, especially up in Ontario where Stephen resides.

Another great thing about this car is that it started off with a Automatic transmission, since at the time he bought the car Stephen had no clue how to drive a stick. As the modding disease spread, he upgraded to a B18C/B20Z setup under the hood, which he really did himself. One of the greatest perks of having a Auto-tech background is obviously not relying on others and saving a ton of money when it comes to modding. Shaved bay as well as a ton of other stuff such as that awesome valve cover you’re looking and the DC Sports 4-1 stainless exhaust header really sets things off under that hood.

Lastly, the interior is fitted with the custom Bride seat rails for the Brix II seats with the set of Takata safety harness’. A clean Momo Monte Carlo steering wheel was also added on top of many little things, and the whole center console came right out of a Civic Si. It’s truly a stunning car, built by a true Import head, and we’re honored to have an opportunity to share it with all of our visitors. Stephen is now a auto shop teacher in Toronto, Canada and all we can say is that you have got to be the coolest teacher out there! On a personal note though, if you do decide to share this with your students Stephen, make sure you let them know how important it is to have a proper wheel fitment to complete the cars look!
