Please excuse us for running a bit late on our coverage of Formula Drift. This time around our very good friend and an extremely talented photographer Javier Santiago took a trip to Monroe, WA to shoot the event for us. We have broken it down in three pieces, first being the top 32, second being our short coverage of the Slammed Society event and a few random drift shots and driver signings, and last being the top 16 to top 8 and ultimately the fight for the title between Chris Forseberg & Michael Essa. As always, click any of the thumbnails below for high resolution photos.

Darren looking great in his Falken Nissan. Gotta love that livery, never seems to get old. Especially followed by a big cloud of smoke.
Aasbo was definitely on top of his game. He is currently standing 5th with 354.50 points.
Unfortunately there were plenty of drivers who made a bit too hard of a contact with the wall. Check out Daigo’s rear bumper in these photos.
Good ol’ Danny looking good sideways but Ryan Kado took the win between these two.
Same went for Patrick Godin above and Michael Essa.
Evergreen Speedway is certainly not the easiest of the tracks. Ryan Tuerck’s FRS took a serious hit in one of the corners. Glad he is ok though..
Mirolslav Ovcharik ended up competing the very talented Chris Forseberg.
I’m a huge fan of Joon’s Nissan. Thing just looks too damn good. Unfortunate for him however, Conrad Grunewald took the win.
Dennis Mertzanis moved on but Taka Aono certainly put on a good fight.
Nishida drove really damn good, moving on to ace Matt Field. His Lexus just looks bad ass.
Unfortunately Evergreen Speedway just wasn’t going right for Kenneth Moen.
I’m a huge fan of Chelsea. Been following this guy for years and he has been doing an incredible job so big kudos to him! Ken Gushi however drove even better at Evergreen and eventually took the win.
As mentioned before, Dennis took the win over Taka Aono. One awesome Genesis Coupe he is got I’ll tell you that.
Conrad whipping the Camaro around like a boss. Love the way this thing sounds.
The Champ himself, Chris Forseberg.
Nothing but love for the Falken cars. Justin took the win this time as Ryan’s FRS kissed the wall a bit too hard.
Underdog right here. Michael Essa will do big things in FD, mark my words.
As mentioned, Kado took the win over Danny George and was now facing Essa.
One of the sickest BRZ’s out there. Love Toshiki Yishioka’s ride so much.
Any Powers fans here? Of course there are. Who isn’t, right?
Vaughn is currently sitting 4th overall in the Championship.
This is my personal opinion but Matt Field has the best looking car in the entire FD line up. This thing is just incredible. Matt took the win over Patrick Mordaunt.
Gushi’s FRS looking good in this shot.
Conrad isn’t the only one with a badass Camaro. Tyler McQuarrie’s ride looks just as awesome
In between. Car show and random drift shots.
Back to Top 16 we go.
Kado and Essa battling it out with Essa taking the win here.
Gittin moved forward between him and Dennis.
Conrad and Obi run was just awesome. Bakchis however took the win here and was now facing Gittin!
Aasbo and Tyler both drove really well however Aasbo was the one moving forward.
Check out that smoke! Justin was on top of his game in this run with Toshiki.
Unfortunately Matt kissed the wall a bit too hard in his run with Robbie which led to Robbie moving forward.
Top 8! Chris battling it out with Matt.
Gotta love Powers’ ride though. That livery is too legit.
While they both drove well Chris took the win and was moving forward.
Gittin and Odi both put on a great show, but Odi was the one that walked away winner here. Big ups to JR though!
Aasbo taking the win. Pawlak seems to be struggling a lot this year. I truly wish him the best of the luck of for rest of the season. He is a great driver and we all know he’ll do big things!
Great battle between these two gentleman, with Chris walking away and finally getting the chance to race in the “Final Battle”.
Consolation? Aasbo vs Ochkis. Winner? Aasbo! He took the 3rd place and is now standing 5th with 354.50 points.
Chris and Essa finished things off with Chris ending up taking 1st place, and Essa second. Big kudos to both of these guys. They are both seriously incredible at what they do!
Overall standings put Chris right up top with 388.00 points, Essa 2nd with 386.50 and Daigo 3rd with 385.00 points!
